此熏精铜铸造，由盖、身两部分组成。盘口，上压拱盖，盖面透空云纹以利散香，盖顶铸瑞兽蹲坐为钮，周围浮雕祥云环绕，静中寓动。瑞兽回首仰望，突目隆鼻，大口怒张，獠牙外露，前足踞地，后腿蹲坐，身躯韧健，肌骨分明，毫无臃肿之弊，极富艺术感染力。
束颈，扁鼓腹，颈腹间设简化的双龙耳，耳形浑实，环扣有力。腹下承接外撇三足，足形转折有力。炉身通体光素无纹，以宝光熠熠的熟栗皮壳、以圆弧有力的线条、端庄典雅的造型取胜，为清代熏炉中少见的样式。
