提要：拍品墨绿色真皮精装，封面封底用压花、雕花、烫金等技术装饰，五层竹节背书脊，书顶刷金。环衬，衬页周围有描金卷草纹装饰。莎士比亚作品最早出版于1623年，内收莎士比亚戏剧36部，分喜剧卷、悲剧卷和历史卷三部。这套戏剧集极为重要，要是没有这本书，莎士比亚的18部戏剧，包括《麦克白》、《暴风雨》等将消失于历史之中。拍品即其中历史卷的部分内容，内收《约翰王》、《理查德德德二世》等剧11种，装帧精美。
