|拍品形制大而极具气势，造型饱满端庄，青花发色浓妍夺目，胎质厚重坚致。外壁通景绘画鲭鱼、鲌鱼、鲤鱼、鳜鱼四种吉祥鱼饰，四鱼姿态各异，悠游于莲池之中，栩栩如生，极富意趣，其间点缀水藻，画面满盈。又暗刻莲池鹭鸶图，寓意一路连科。此种绘画鱼藻纹的大缸在嘉靖时期有专门名称为“鱼缸”。此种大型鱼缸制作困难，仅烧制就需要历时十几天，且成器者“百不得五”，极容易变形疵裂，而此式青花加暗刻工艺的缸存世则更为稀少。
