清代宫廷中，案上陈设极为讲究，美器必配美座，无论瓷器、玉器、铜器等均配有底座，甚至园林中的小花盆也配有底座。在明清绘画中，特别是宫廷绘画，配有底座的陈设器比比皆是。从存世品看，底座多为木制，故宫博物院编纂，2016年出版的《器座》一书中，收录了众多精美底座，可作赏鉴。
拍品器座以硬木制，座面玉环平盘状，缘边起圆唇，用以置物，束腰光素，牙子缘边缠枝花皮条线，工致佳美。足部作外翻蜻蜓腿样式，线条含蓄唯美。随形托泥，下具五如意云头足。整器观之简洁古雅，虽未施繁缛雕琢，但其器型端正，榫卯牢固，法度严谨，。
