This piece was originally produced for a very important wealthy family of the day.When the new Russian government came to power they confiscated this piece and presented at the historic 1925 Russian car ralley.The car rally was a huge Historic event at that time and countries from all over the world presented what they thought to be the best cars of the day. Paul Wachtler was there presenting the 1925 Buick. At the end of the rally there was a presentation for the best cars of the day and they were presented gifts. Buick came in second and was awarded this Faberge set.There is actual 1925 footage that can be found on Youtube of this historic event.
