1 木 良好 柞榛木家具基本均出自江苏南通一带，其质可比紫檀黄花梨，晚清以来，备受识者推崇，成为硬木中后起之秀。此件笔筒取柞榛木刳挖而成，体型硕大，随形，平口平底，器壁宽厚，手头颇重，可鉴木材之精。口沿及内壁满布致密的年轮，纹理清晰，古朴美观。外壁不事雕琢，完整保留了柞木天然特点，结疤频生，沟壑嶙峋，此起彼伏而恣意无态，尽现天然之美态，颇具玩味。笔筒因经年摩挲陈设，体表包浆浑厚油润，与其天然肌理浑为一体，尽现苍朴古茂之风。
