A Japanese silver and enamel lobed bowl, Meiji period, circa 1900, the stippled exterior finely engraved and worked in relief with a continuous lakeside scene of three carp swimming and jumping amongst clusters of irises with branches of wisteria hanging above and to the side, and two doves at the water's edge, all picked out in colourful enamels, raised on a shaped base with three ruyi-shaped feet, engraved with flowers and scrolling foliage, applied metal three-character signature plaque to base, height 14.5cm, width 24.9cm (some enamel loss and minor dents), together with a Chinese carved hardwood stand.
