DALLIN (Native American 1861-1944) A COLD PAINTED BRONZE EQUESTRIAN SCULPTURE, "Appeal to the Great Spirit," 1913, nicely cast as a Native American Chieftain with arms outstretched and gazing upwards while seated on an Indian Paint horse, each with a rich dark brown patination and white paint spots on the horse as well as white painted feathers in the Chieftain's headdress, red details used throughout and standing on a rectangular base inscribed "© C.E. Dallin 1913," raised on a conforming golden veined black portar marble plinth, engraved brass label "APPEAL TO THE GREAT SPIRIT / Cyrus E. Dallin."
