该器铜质缜密，胎体厚重，线条流畅。瑞兽高额凸起，鬃发细密上扬，圆目突出，炯炯有神，高鼻卷曲，獠牙锋利尖挺，大耳与鬓毛作卷云状。体态强健雄壮，圆浑结实。四肢粗壮有力，趴伏于地表，身型健硕，筋骨强健，肌肉饱满，长尾圆滚，卷曲摆动。瑞兽腹内中空，用以盛水，宽厚的脊背上有一圆孔，色泽深沉，包浆温润，细腻如蒸栗，此件麒麟造型神骏，意气风发，铸工饱满流畅，古意盎然。给人以古朴之感。
