SITTING GANESHA Bronze South - India , Maharashtra , 18th century Dimensions: Height 17,5 cm Wide 13 cm Depth 8 cm Weight: 1676 grams Four-Armed Ganesha seated on a circular throne with lotus petals. He is holding the axe, a trident, a broken tusk and a bowl of laddu sweets in his hands. With his tusk he is reaching for the sweets in the bowl. On his belly we see the head of a snake, which is wrapped around his big belly. He is wearing a striped dhoti, some jewellery and a conical headdress.
