Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, blue & white Lishui motif porcelain water pot. The porcelain potted with a bulbous body, slighty oval, with slight big on the shoulder, of a deep vessel, with a narrow opening lip, raised on a small flat round base. All reserved in hand painting ornamentations, rendered in clean white under glazed ground color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The Exterior decorated with thrashing wavy lishui water surround the water pot. The Li-shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black.
