Majestic, Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Yongle blue & white wrapped floral wine pot in wooden box. The Porcelain potted in wine pot shape, thick, large and tall, baluster body, slight heavy on shoulder, gently toward tall cylindrical neck, with curved spout flanked on the collar, outward at the wide mouth rim, a looped handles giving a balance on the opposite sides, flanked on the upper mouth rim to shoulder, raised with short small round foot base and slight concave. All reserved in hand painting ornamentations, rendered in clean white under glazed ground color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. Blue and white porcelain in Chinese it is called Qing Hua Ci. It is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Yuan Dynasty. Its color does not easily fade and durability is longer. It used cobaltous oxide as the colorant. Patterns were directly painted onto the inner body and burnt after glaze was applied on it. The main body and the neck delicately fine depicted flowers blooms among scrolling interlocking tendril and foliage. Geometric petals and scrolling ruyi clouds on the shoulder. And the upper mouth rim festooned with interlocking key fret and scrolling ruyi clouds on the foot base rim. Each section mark off and enclosed with double fine rings. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, and the carving. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well carved, clear, subtle, distinct, and the shape is uniformly proportioned.
