Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Xuande lobbed flori-form blue and white motif porcelain high bowl on stand. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, broad cavetto, with a flori form opening lip, slight flaring mouth rim, raised on a small round, high foot with numerous line, with concave footing. All reserved in hand painting ornamentations, rendered in clean white under glazed ground color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. Blue and white porcelain in Chinese it is called Qing Hua Ci. It is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Yuan Dynasty. Its color does not easily fade and durability is longer. It used cabaltous oxide as the colorant. Patterns were directly painted onto the inner body and burnt after glaze was applied on it. The Exterior adorned with flori petals form carved describe five claws imperial dragon soaring amidst flames and vapors, with face and upper right appendage outstretched toward the heavens. Vigorous dragons chasing flaming pearl amidst flames against cobalt blue color scrolling cumulus clouds. The backdrop depicts swirling wind and fire painted atop a beautiful white under glaze, enclosed with double fine rings in flori medallion, on the upper mouth rim, and on the foot base rim. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. Elegancy come with tall zitan hardwood stand carved with scrolling ruyi and Auspicious motif. The Elaborately carved zitan hardwood frame perfectly accentuates this work of art. The porcelain displays a subtle sheen across the finely glazed exterior. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme groundand dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on central interior, a vertical six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Xuande Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
