Hopkinson Francis Declaration Signer Francis Hopkinson Borrows Money to Pay for the RevolutionPartially printed document signed "F:Hopkinson" as Treasurer of Loans. The note has a scalloped left border; it is in excellent condition with a large dark signature. In 1776, Hopkinson was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.The document reads: "At Thirty Days Sight of this Fourth Bill, First, Second, and Third not paid, pay to Mr. Jared Hinckley or Order, Eighteen Dollars, in Ninety Livres Tournois, for Interest due on Money borrowed by the United States."
