铜阿弥陀佛为西方极乐世界之教主，只要诚心信奉阿弥陀佛，便可受阿弥陀接引最终往生西方极乐凈土，因此阿弥陀佛也被称为“接引佛”，在汉传佛教中受到特别的尊崇。此像肉髻低缓，髻珠圆大，宽额丰颐，白毫凸显，眉部上挑，眼睑低垂，神情沉静。袈裟衣纹流畅生动，衣缘錾刻莲花纹，这是明代佛像衣缘处理常用的手法。双手于腹前结禅定印，这是辨识阿弥陀佛的典型特征。两腿结跏趺坐于莲台之上，莲座为多层仰莲形台座，整个造像端庄大气，铜质坚实厚重，是明代中晚期之佳作。
