此插屏正面刻达摩渡江，上部刻达摩祖师撰写的《真情颂》回文诗。回文诗是我国古典诗歌中一种较为独特的体裁。在创作手法上，突出地继承了诗反复咏叹的艺术特色，来达到其“言志述事”的目的，产生强烈的回环叠咏的艺术效果。 排成圆圈形的“身至净明圆始终常妙极真离性情缘理空忘照寂”20字，从任何一字起读，不论顺读逆读，都可读成五绝一首。背面刻宋代诗人刘克庄 的《达摩渡芦图》诗句，最后落“乾隆年制”款。
