此碗形制典雅端庄，圆正精巧，为典型的宫碗样式。撇口，深腹，弧壁，底承圈足。外壁以剔红工艺装饰。纹饰均以回纹锦地为底，口沿及足胫处饰如意云头纹各一周，腹部带装开光内，雕八组团寿纹，寿字周围五只红蝠紧密环绕，取其“福寿”之美好祝愿，福寿纹之间饰以花卉纹，上下对称分布。内壁髹光亮黑漆，足内髹朱漆。乾隆皇帝热衷于宫廷漆器的制作，在风格上以较为锋利的刀法为主，雕刻层次多，作工严谨，华丽精巧。此器工艺精湛，整器布局平稳丰满，既富装饰美观之效，又具祥和富贵之意，可谓别具匠心，清代宫廷制器与吉庆装饰题材的运用已臻化境，达到“图必有意，意必吉祥”的程度，本品装饰图案与乾隆时期官窑瓷器典型图案类似，应为乾隆时期官造器，体现了我国雕漆艺术发展至乾隆时期之鼎盛，实为精彩。
