The body is finely enamelled with beautifully plumed phoenix amongst densely scrolling peonies on a rich turquoise ground. The body is affixed with a gilt bronze spout and an archaistic C-shaped handle inset with gilt bronze tweezers. The underside is inscribed with an apocryphal Yongzheng reign mark. The cover is decorated with shou characters interspersed with scrolling lotus, all surmounted by a small dish and a golden pricket.
