款識：潤華女弟。衍庸寫。鈐印：囗(朱)。作者簡介：丁衍庸（1902-1978），廣東人 。在中國畫壇與林風眠、關良素有「廣東三傑」之稱，三人在畫壇各佔有一席之地。早年留學日本，專攻油畫，在東京美術學校習畫，受野獸派風格的影響甚深。1925年回到中國展開教學生涯。1949年遷居香港。晚年致力於中國畫，並且經營出一種自然的表現主義風格。並將古典的篆刻趣味帶進他的繪畫作品中。此外，丁氏終身從事藝術教育，為新亞書院藝術專修科（其後發展為香港中文大學藝術系）創辦人之一。他的作品多次於香港及海外展覽，也曾經在香港、澳洲、台灣舉辦個展。
