Chinese Qing Xianfeng famille rose Long Life medallions porcelain bowl. Deep curvature flaring upward to form the rim, with a slightly raised footing. The rim is potted into a curvaceous pattern and painted with a colloidal gold over glaze. The exterior is adorned with hand painted famille-rose design, Manchurian character medallions interspersed by variegated floral imagery bordered by intricately interwoven vines. Repeating ruyi pattern banded in the top rim and auspicious pattern in the foot base. Delicate light green underglaze make-up the backdrop creating a dainty appearance. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant finish that was applied by a meticulous glaze craftsman.The under base bear a reign mark, a vertical six under-glazed blue script characters reign mark; Made in The Years of Xianfeng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
