1960/61. Bronze, Hohlguss. H. 14,5 cm, L. 48,5 cm. Bei der Figur handelt es sich um das Entwurfsmodell zur Großplastik (1961) vor dem Bezirksamt-Nord in Hamburg, Kümmellstraße. Ein typisches Werk aus der späten Schaffensphase des Künstlers mit einer Tendenz zur immer stärkeren Abstraktion unter Betonung der 'Linie'. - Gutachten: Wir danken Herrn Manfred Sihle-Wissel für die mündliche Bestätigung der Authentizität und zeitliche Einordnung des Werks. - Deutscher Bildhauer u. Graphiker, ab 1920 Studium an der Kunstgewerbeschule Hamburg in der Bildhauerklasse von Richard Luksch, 1928-1933 Mitglied der Hamburgischen Sezession, 1955 als Nachfolger Edwin Scharffs Leiter der Bildhauerklasse an der HfBK, hauptsächlich bekannt für seine Tierbildnisse, zahlreiche Werke im Öffentlichen Raum in Hamburg. The figure is the model for Ruwoldt's large-scale sculpture in front of the district office in Hamburg, Kümmellstraße. - Expertise: We thank Mr Manfred Sihle-Wissel for the oral confirmation of authenticity and the temporal classification of the figure. - German sculptor and graphic artist, from 1920 studied at the School of Applied Arts in Hamburg, 1928-1933 member of the Hamburg Secession, 1955 leader of the sculptor's class at the HfBK Hamburg, primarily known for his animal figures, numerous sculptural works in the public space of Hamburg.
