|墨身呈规则圆形，墨面模制『南极寿星』图样，南极寿星是中国传统吉祥图案，墨面上南极寿星坐在松树下，白鹿与仙鹤紧随身后，侍童奉茶，神情平和，寓意健康长寿。此墨侧面落『大明程君房制』，墨底落『南极一星高居井柳亿万斯年徵彼黄耉 竹醉日独醒客赞』。墨色黝黑，质地细腻，为墨中上品。程君房，中国明代制墨家，名大约，以字行，又字幼博，号筱野。活跃于万历年间，精于制墨，其墨光洁细腻，款式花纹变化多端，深得文人士大夫喜爱，著有《程氏墨苑》，列墨品六部，约500余式，其中所收的墨名，如《天老对庭》、《清辉照海月》、《归马牧牛》等今仍沿用。
