|ProvenanceThrough the artist's family.These works could relate to Roper's painting titled 'Gold diggings, Ararat' dating c.1855 and held in the collection of the State Library, New South Wales, ref. 840136. Alternatively, they also bear a marked similarity to his painting 'A prairie schooner on the Cariboo Road in British Columbia' purchased by Library & Archives Canada in 2015.
