TWO MEISSEN PLATES, second quarter 18th Century, the first painted with scattered sprigs and sprays of flowers, the brown-edged rim moulded with a border of scrolling peonies, 22.6cm diameter, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, impressed Dreher’s mark of + for Johann Christoph Pietzsch inside the footrim, the second modelled by J.F. Eberlein with the ‘Gotzkowsky-Relief’ pattern of flowers, painted with a large central spray of flowers, the brown-edged rim reserved with four smaller blooms, 24.2cm diameter, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, impressed numeral 20 (2)
