Artist Biography: Charles Levier (French, 1920-2004) was born in Corsica and received an education at L'Ecole Nationale Suprieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Because his style was complementary to the mid-century modern style of the 1950s and 1960s, he became popular with collectors in the United States around this time. He is known for his depictions of landscapes and women, and his work can be seen at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Menton Museum of Art in Paris.
