Grand Chinese Yongzheng famille-rose vase with peony bloom patterns. The baluster jar has a tall feminine silhouette with broad shoulders and a body that either tapers toward the base. The collar adorned with a central red-peony which is known as the queen of flowers as well as being considered a symbol of love, affection, riches, honor, and feminine beauty. The underside foot rim left unglazed, with pale-creme base spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. The receded base left white underglaze. This piece displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely glazed exterior. Mark on base, six blue underglazed script -KaiShu- characters, enclosed by double fine blue rings, YongZheng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
