|来源：伦敦Marchant旧藏。||白玉佛面相饱满，色若羊脂，局部有绺；开相庄严肃穆，高肉髻，脸微颌，表情慈祥内省，悯而不悲，威而不怒，身躯饱满，着通肩大衣，大衣贴体，轮廓分明，比例匀称，衣袂飘飘，线条流畅；面腴丰满安详。整块白玉质地密实细润，色泽深沉，雕刻各个部位落点得体，线条婉转流畅；佛身后雕饰巨型六瓣莲瓣式背光，异于寻常造型之形制，亦显佛家庄重威严又不失莲花之圣洁，双目微合，俯视众生，双手作结禅印，神情安详结跏趺端坐于莲花之上。释迦牟尼的意思是“能仁”、“能儒”、“能忍”、“能寂”等，因父为释迦族，成道后被尊称为释迦牟尼，义即“释迦族的圣人”。
