夹纻工艺是一项古老的手工技艺，它采用干漆，苎麻，五彩石粉等为原料，经过烘干，打磨，夹纻等 48 道工序完成。此工艺作品不易开裂，变形，色泽上也能表现一种独特的质感。此尊观音菩萨头束葫芦型发髻，戴叶片硕大的五叶冠饰。面庞方正，额部宽平，眉眼平顺，带有慈悲笑容。上身躯体袒露，佩戴各种华丽饰物，帔帛自然垂搭于体侧。双手轻拈花茎，两肩上莲花盛放。下身着宽松长裙，站立于莲花座上。莲座的连珠纹精美均匀，莲花叶瓣宽大、饱满，瓣端有卷云纹。整像造型华丽写实，工艺精湛繁复，其人物造型和莲座样式都与清代康熙时期宫廷造像有着异曲同工之妙，展现了康熙时期繁缛奢华的宫廷艺术风尚。在北京雍和宫、承德外八庙的佛教殿堂中，我们不难找到与此像类似的宫廷造像作品，足见此尊造像之珍贵和稀有。来源：苏富比拍卖。
