Description: A Fine Chinese Porcelain Cong Vase. Thick potted, squared body, with circle opening mouth and base, raised on shallow foot. Essentially tubes with a square cross-section and a circular hole, having rib molded corners in form of a traditional hair pin along the sides stacked as modules, one atop another. The exterior reserved in celadon glaze ground. The shape of the cong with its square and circular shape could be interpreted as 'the unity of heaven and earth' where the square represents the earth and a circle represents the heaven.
