邊雄必1975年於韓國出生，於韓國東國大學取得藝術學士後赴德國明斯特美術大學取得碩士學位。在德國藝術界取得成就後，邊雄必回到韓國，融合韓國藝術的視點，用最少的陰影捕捉表情，用線條、平面和顏色將人物描繪成匿名的存在，重新定義了肖像畫。邊雄必在韓國、德國和孟加拉國等地有過展覽經歷，他的作品被收藏於韓國國家當代美術館、首爾美術館、德國瑪塔．赫爾福德美術館和德國北威州最高法院等。
