元青花缠枝牡丹纹梅瓶造型为小口短颈，丰肩敛足，平底，底部无釉，俗称“砂底”，釉与露胎部分的相交处可见“窑红”。繁密的纹饰却并不给人以繁之感，相反倒显露出一种壮美的情趣，这也正是元代艺术匠师在构图上的高明之处。元青花缠枝牡丹纹梅瓶身自上而下有五层圈带纹饰，肩上部在开光框内画八宝纹，足部用仰莲如意纹开光进行排列装饰，腹部周身绘满缠枝牡丹青花图案缠枝牡丹纹梅瓶与肩、足部区域进行呼应，整个青花构图严谨，层次分明，主题突出，浑然一体，显得繁而不乱；笔意深沉有力，青色艳丽之中又带古朴，风格生动豪放。
