作者简介：黄幻吾 (1906-1985),名罕，字幻吾，号罕僧，晚年称罕翁。广东新会人。早年临《芥子园画谱》兼画肖像，中学毕业后从事印刷及广告美术工作，业余潜心研习书画，获高剑父、高奇峰教益，画艺日趋成熟。生前为广州市博物馆委员、苏州美专教务长、上海烟雨画院院长、中国美术家协会会员，中国美术家协会上海分会理事，上海文史研究馆馆员，上海中国画院画师。黄幻吾的绘画被评论为：精研国画，善绘山水、人物、花卉、鱼虫、鸟兽，尤以山水、花鸟功夫独到，刻划真切动人、栩栩如生，他的作品确实富有新意，能把水墨、彩色熔铸一炉，做到情调美、色彩美、构图美、形象美。如果用“形神兼备，生机盎然，清新秀丽，雅俗共赏”这十六个字来概括，那是最恰当不过了。
