|此笔筒由上等小叶紫檀整挖而成，器身口足处起阳线，圆筒形，直壁，光素无雕工，以特有的自然纹理取胜，紫檀木的自然纹理牛毛纹遍布器内外壁，观之似细雨般，密布而下，甚为壮观。整体造型端庄规整，简约雅致，展现紫檀瑰丽气质，又饱含文雅书卷气，久经摩玩承传，使笔筒表面生成了自然的包浆，苍润坚凝，历史气息浓郁，不失为一件案头佳作。|参阅：《中国民藏文物鉴赏丛书·文房集雅》人民美术出版社，2007年1月，图040。
