|说明：此器为木胎，由盖、器身套盒而成，呈长方形，下承四莲尖形足。器壁较薄，规整如一，典雅大方。顶面平整，略呈盝顶，边角转折处理精致。通体髤黑漆，漆色沉稳，漆面可见蛇腹状断纹。顶面行书暗刻“不能锐，因以钝为体。不能动，因以静为用。惟其然，是以能永年。” 乃取自宋代名人唐庚《古砚铭存》，阐述了古人以用笔、墨、砚的功用，演绎锐钝、动静之情志，并引发出万物寿夭之理，以为养生之戒，对人生处世的理解。
