|说明：此剔犀香盘，以木胎为质，通体髤漆，朱黑相间，作剔犀工艺处理。以绽放的荷花为造型，工艺极为精妙，盘缘波浪状起伏有致，盘心凸起一钮，为荷中心，从盘心至边缘五条筋脉纹理流转生动，外壁亦剔五条叶脉，底心雕莲颈及莲托， 更使此盘荷花之形更生动形象，充满文人雅趣。妙不可言。|莲为君子之花，亦是八吉祥之一。佛教将莲花所生长的淤泥，譬喻为五浊恶世的人间和烦恼，而所生出清净无染的莲花，就如超越烦恼所产生的智慧。《大日经疏十五》曰：“如世人以莲华为心，今密藏中亦以大悲胎藏妙法莲华为最吉祥。”清莲“出淤泥不染”之性，正为佛思“离尘脱俗、清净无染”之象征。
