说明：天鸡尊的造型未见于商周青铜器，最早为洛阳宋墓出土为例，作鸟负尊形，应为宋代对于《周礼》中鸡彝、鸟彝的想象。据今日实物看来，宋、明时期仿古风之盛行，天鸡尊作为崇古情怀之具体念想，才为皇家贵族以及文人士大夫所推崇，而制作流行开来。天鸡是瑞兽，天鸡负尊或天鸡负瓶的图案为进宝意，同时，天鸡作为吉祥物，其作用之一就是避邪，它同时也是英雄勇武的象征。传说天鸡为神鸡，居于东南桃都山，又传居东海岱舆山扶桑树上，率天下之鸡报晓。
此器以天鸡负尊为造型，铜胎，天鸡作卷尾立式，背驮宝瓶，瓶身雕蕉叶纹，出戟。天鸡两侧安置车轮，车轮可滚动。通体纹饰精美，别有韵味。
