款识：“大明万暦年制”六字双行楷书款 此斗彩紫彩云龙纹碗以紫色斗彩为饰，龙翔于云纹之间，明代斗彩十分稀少，明晚期因烧造条件不够成熟，成功率也非常低，寻海内外公私藏品资料，同纹饰者参见《埃斯肯纳齐中国艺术品经眼录》，第386号，其收藏虽为紫彩,但并非斗彩,而是以五彩绘制，与本拍品相比相对多见。
万历斗彩在历史上可谓弥足珍贵，它是釉下彩与釉上彩相结合的一种装饰品种。其烧制工艺极为复杂，得预先在1300度高温下烧成釉下青花瓷，再用矿物颜料进行二次施彩填色，然后再放入小窑经过800度烘烤而成。可见，在晚明国力衰退之时，能烧制出斗彩成品是十分难得的。
