长17.8cm；宽11cm
|澄泥砚，砚体宽实，色呈暗黄褐色，亦称鳝鱼黄，砚面作门字式，通体不饰雕琢，线条挺拔爽利。砚背中心部浅挖，内刻小楷铭文，铭文曰：“泥兮石兮润方刚，耕方寸兮无怠荒，舒素毫兮玄云光，资忠孝兮成文章。 丙戊中秋真意道人许遇”。留“真意道人”篆印。此铭原为清人胡仲虎所做作《玉林》。由此落款题而知，许遇见此澄泥砚，色呈黄紫，有感而发，遂借此诗赞之。原配红木砚匣。|许遇（约公元一七○○年前后在世）字不弃，一字真意，号花农，又号月溪，福建侯官人，许友之子。顺治间，贡生。知河南陈留县事，调长洲，并有惠政。公余辄邀士友唱酬，吟咏不辍。后卒子官。遇少时，受诗于王士祯，七绝尤擅长。亦工画松竹梅石。着有紫藤花庵诗钞，《清史列传》行于世。
