|说明：花插，一词始于明代。明正德年间流行的插花器皿。清代器型略有变化，品种更加丰富，此件花插，为红珊瑚材质，其下立体圆雕一只赑屃，独角龙首蛇颈龟身，做前探状，浮于海浪中。十分的威猛，其上驮双层莲座，莲座束腰装饰仰俯莲纹，莲台之上，陈列一尊宝瓶，做玉净瓶造型，口部装饰回文一周，颈部装饰摹古蝉纹，瓶身之上浅浮雕一枝梅，典雅隽秀，用来插花，构思十分的巧妙。整体观之色彩对比鲜明，且选材珍贵，用料硕大，工艺精湛，为不可多得的精品雅玩陈设。能够如此不惜工本，雕刻如此大的珊瑚花插，非宫廷御制不可。 花插之下原配清宫象牙茜色雕海水纹座，与浓艳的珊瑚搭配，更增名贵典雅之感。
