款识：「大明宣德年制」六字三行楷书款 来源：英国私人收藏 ：炉为长方口，外沿起线，方唇，束颈，腹部方扁，腹上竖槽微隆，深刻起棱，呈条纹装饰。器身两侧肩部各有一象首耳，象首双眉紧皱，高额深目，鬃毛凛凛，绕颈卷曲，不怒自威。方形足高深宽厚，近底外撇，内底正中矩形留刻「大明宣德年制」三行六字楷书款。此炉造型敦实沉稳，体量厚重，炉身方正，弦纹突出，整体造型意境高古又丝毫未现呆滞，肩部两兽耳点缀突出独到，主题丰富，意境古雅。此器整体造型，乃取上古玉琮之形，寓意吉庆祥瑞。可比较一件稍大的十七世纪仿古琮形炉，2010年10月8日售于香港苏富比，拍品编号2715。参阅：2010年10月8日香港苏富比，编号2715。
