A Chinese black amber snuff bottle with a jadeite stopper and dating from the 19th century. The body of the snuff bottle is carved with a bird.
Dimensions are: 2 3/4 inches tall X 1 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Some minor cracks in the rim and a small chip in the bird's tail. Possible evidence of repairs.
Provenance: From the estate of Dr. F. Prussing in Long Beach, CA. These items were acquired by Dr. Prussing before 1980.
