能食空行母常居于护摩法炉之上，为密教火供仪轨极为重要的法器。护摩炉以能食空行母为炉盖，据说此尊能吞食一切不洁之物，创造一个清净境界，从而赐福于人们。此尊头戴五骷髅冠，耳旁缯带上卷扬起。仰面朝天，三目圆鼓，张着大嘴，露出利齿，表情夸张。肌肉表现写实生动，身饰璎珞及钏镯等配饰。双手在胸前交叉，左手执铃，右手执杵。腰围虎皮裙，盘坐于莲花座上。整像胎体厚重，铜质润泽，比例和谐，造型生动，带有清代内地造像鲜明的艺术特色，是修法、供奉的绝佳圣物。
