团龙补菱形地采用挑针的洒线工艺满铺地，其上绣一行龙戏珠，周边五彩祥云，下部托以海水江崖。龙身采用平金绣法，龙鳞片片凸起的浮雕效果，威风凛凛。撒线绣多见于明代，其用色明艳、纹样大气、布局繁复，时代特征鲜明，是明代皇家御用绣品种类，由于此工艺太费工时，其应用流行的时间较短。此团龙补是明代龙补中难得的精品。参阅：北京文物精粹大系织绣卷见88页，图41号北京艺术博物馆藏，明嘉靖 满绣云龙纹方补
