夹纻又称夹纾，是一种古老的汉族传统手工技艺。作为漆塑像的方法，先用泥塑成胎，后用漆把麻布贴在泥胎外面；待漆干后，反复再涂多次；最后把泥胎取空，因此又有“脱空像”之称。此件佛像以夹纻工艺制作，与金铜佛像极其相似，但开相更柔和逼真且质地轻盈。燃灯佛修过去为过去佛，为佛教三大教主之一。因其出生时身边一切光明如灯，故称为燃灯佛。此佛工艺卓越，品相完美，流传至今实属不易，宜收藏供奉，参佛法智慧。
