官皮箱是小型的文房家具，可收纳书札、印章等物。官皮箱传世较多，但黄花梨质地很少，甚为珍贵。昔日常说官皮箱为官府存放文书之用，今识实为闺房之物，但比之镜匣更显文雅。此箱为拍子式两开门，为官皮箱之传统样式。通体光素，顶为笔顶式，两侧带铜环手，下配壶门，铜包角。通体黄花梨木制作，唯屉板、箱底板为铁力木制做，工艺考究，造型优美。极具收藏陈设价值。参阅：王世襄编著《明式家具珍赏》，文物出版社，2003年9月第2版，第239页，图165
